Taj Mahal Dallas (“we”, “us”) prepares every order fresh. Because food is perishable, the policy below explains when we can cancel, remake or refund an order placed on this website.
How online orders work
- Pickup only. Orders placed on this website are for pickup at our restaurant, 2711 Elm Street, Dallas, TX 75226. We do not deliver or ship orders placed on this website.
- Prepaid. Online orders are paid in full by card at checkout.
- Ready time. Most orders are ready for pickup in about 20 minutes. Large orders and busy periods may take longer; we will contact you if there is a significant delay.
Cancellations
- You may cancel for a full refund by calling us before we begin preparing your order.
- Once preparation has started, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
- If we are unable to fulfil your order (for example, an item is unavailable or we close unexpectedly), we will contact you and refund the affected items or the entire order.
Returns
For food safety reasons, and in line with Texas food establishment rules, we cannot accept returns of food once it has left the restaurant.
Problems with your order
Please check your order at pickup. If an item is missing, incorrect or not prepared to our standard, let us know at pickup or contact us within 24 hours with your order number. Depending on the issue, we will remake the item, issue a credit toward a future order, or refund the affected item(s) to your original payment method.
Orders not picked up
Orders are held until closing time on the day they are placed. Because the food has already been prepared, orders that are not collected are not eligible for a refund. If you are running late, please call us.
Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original card used at checkout. Refunds are processed within 2 business days of approval; depending on your bank, it may take 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. We do not issue cash refunds for online orders.
Orders through delivery partners
Delivery orders are placed and paid for on our partners’ platforms (such as Uber Eats, DoorDash and ezCater). Refunds, cancellations and delivery issues for those orders are handled by that platform under its own policies; please contact the platform directly.
Allergies and special requests
Our kitchen handles common allergens including milk, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, eggs, fish and shellfish. While we do our best to honour special requests, we cannot guarantee that any item is allergen-free, and we cannot offer refunds for allergen-related concerns that were not disclosed when ordering.
Pricing errors
If an item is listed at an incorrect price, we will contact you before preparing the order and give you the option to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
